JP2-Zip has been designed from the ground-up to be as intuitive and easy to use
as possible. It takes only a couple of mouse clicks to select some images, and then
only one more to build them into a brand new Image Archive, ready to send to anyone,
anywhere! Once you become more comfortable with the software, you can start to explore
a little further – customizable toolbars, docking windows and flexible application
options all help you to get JP2-Zip working just the way you need it to. You can
even set default properties for Image Archives so new Archives are created with
just the presets you use most often.
Package multiple images into one tiny, simple Image Archive
The secret to the success of JP2-Zip is the “Image Archives” – special containers
designed to hold multiple images compressed by JP2-Zip together in one convenient
package. Since they are standalone Windows® programs, your recipients need no additional
software to access the images you send them. Image Archives can unpack their contents
on any 32- or 64-bit Windows computer, and the recipient of your images is walked
through the entire process with a familiar and easy to use “wizard” type interface. There simply is no better way to deliver your images to someone - they just work,

Easy to understand compression rates – Lossless, High, Medium or Low
Image compression software shouldn’t have to be hard to use and understand – at
least that’s what we firmly believe here at Codiac Studios. To that end, JP2-Zip
makes it easy for you – simply decide on the image quality you need as appropriate
and the software takes cares of the rest – nothing could be simpler! ‘High’ is considered
to be ‘visually lossless’ – in other words indistinguishable from the original image
by the human eye and suitable for just about any application. At this setting you
can still expect incredible compression and file

JP2-Zip hooks into the contents of your Windows® Explorer ‘Send To’ menu allowing

Powerful multithreading helps you build more Image Archives in less time
Multithreading helps software like JP2-Zip to be great at doing many things all
at once. Maybe you’re waiting for a large Image Archive to finish building and you’d
like to start another; no problem, just start a new Archive Window and you can begin
working on your new Image Archive right away, while the other one builds in
the background! Thumbnailing and previewing of images happens transparently and
speedily in the background too, whether you’re scrolling the Archive view window,
changing some Archive properties or starting another build, JP2-Zip will never keep
you waiting while these operations complete.

Decompression supporting Regions Of Interest (ROIs)
Have you ever wished that when compressing an image you could tell the computer
just which parts were visually most important to you? JPEG2000 lets you do just
that using ROIs (Regions Of Interest). ROIs give you fine grained control over which
areas of an image greatest visual detail should be retained for. This in turn helps
you create the smallest possible compressed image files while still maintaining
